Penny Taylor should be the player-coach when she comes back. She can't be any worse at it than Gaines.

Taylor may be needed a lot more than was originally thought. There is little leadership on the floor for the Mercury right now. I'd have to take Prahalis off the floor, move DT to the point and put Houston on the floor more.

Very! Bonner and Prahalis are a combined 14 of 42 (33%) after 2 games. Somebody needs to explain that they can't win with that many shots coming from sub-par shooters. They both just lower their heads and barrel out of control toward the rim.

I have to say I loved Griner's hard foul tonight. That's what one of her teammates should have done against Louisville.

I saw in the recap that BG and DT variously had foul issues, which I'm sure contributed.

But I agree that Prahalis takes too many shots herself, and I have to suspect doesn't distribute the ball as well as she good. It looked to me during the first game that the "run and gun" has to some degree been abandoned, I suppose due to the personnel. Can't wait until Taylor is back.

Prahalis was never going to be a quality WNBA PG for numerous reasons. Unless they work with her to improve numerous parts of her game she is a liability.
