Phoenix Mercury @ Washington Mystics - 6/30/18

Taurasi had a tough shooting night (2-13), but had 9 assists, 6 rebounds, "0" turnovers, and continued her 96% (yes) FT shooting. Griner (24/7) and Bonner (23/8) picked up the slack and the Mercury beat Washington 84-74 despite Delle Donne's 27/13. Mercury now solidly in 1st place at 13-5.

6,218 in attendance. Crowd looked good. That’s very good for a Mystics game this year. Last two games were 4,20o and 4,100. Even 2,000 more looks better on TV. The players deserve good crowds. Mystics have a better than average team this year.

I didn’t know Cloud originally went to Maryland then transferred to St Joe’s after frosh year

Hines -Allen should ask for a trade. It worked well for Delle Donne and Fowles.
Hines-Allen goes to Aces and Mystics get choice of Young, Coffey or Nared or all three. Hines-Allen playing the 3 for Aces would be awesome even if she’s not a 3.
Can’t believe Coffey was the 5th player chosen in a first round.

Hines-Allen hardly has an "pull" compared to EDD and Fowles though

It cannot be easy for Ms Taurasi to play back to back games on the road at this point in her career/life.

Bonner is amazing. Probably the most reliable playmaker and outside shooter on the team, especially when a big bucket is needed. She'd be on my all-star team.

Very unfortunate injury to Sancho Lyttle's knee last night late in the game. Probably an ACL from the way it buckled when she went down. She could not put any weight onto it at all when leaving the floor. :(

Sancho is 34 years of age and a 14-year veteran of the WNBA.
