I think Phoenix walks away with a win here. Not sure adding in Fowles this late in the season will make Minnesota better since they'll have zero time to adjust to having her out there. As good as the young Lynx team has been, Phoenix is just too talented and experienced. I think the difference maker will be Taurasi. If she's on (which she usually is in these kinds of games), I don't think Minnesota can win.

I don't know who will win. Interesting - Fowles / Vaughn faced each other at the 2007 Final Four. In spite of all the questions surrounding her, I would still prefer Griner.

I am rooting for Phoenix, of course.

If Fowles picks up where she left off, Lynx win.

If not, Mercury take it handily.

I see no evidence that the Mercury do anything easily. I think the game will be close either way.

I think the experience of DT, Diggins-Smith, and Vaughn will be too much for Minnesota without a productive Fowles in a winner-take-all game.

I would, however, LOVE to be wrong.

DT, of course, has tons of postseason experience. Skylar's been in three times and just won her first game. Vaughn hasn't exactly lit up the postseason, although she does have plenty of experience.

I'm going with Minnesota on this one. The Mercury didn't exactly light it up the other night, and I hope I think the Lynx can win without Syl, and I hope she puts in 15-20 minutes and is effective enough to throw the Mercury off balance.

And, I'm with you. I hope you're wrong. ;)

Mercury up 15-7. Diana with 2 3's. Lynx and particularly Crystal and Naphessa looking way to passive and not wanting to be creative. Head bangHead bang

Big Syl looks rusty and out of shape. She isn't helping much as Phoenix races to an early lead. Seems like several of us predicted this.

Phoenix was up as much as 12. Now only up 1 after 1Q. Dantas and Banham carrying the load for the Lynx so far.

Pheesa looking so scripted. Guessing she will get better when she gets on the boards and defense Crystal just missed a bunny and shots she normally makes. She will get into it.

It just doesn't look like Fowles should be playing, not ready to come back yet.

DT got T'd up for protesting a no call. I would say that might fire her up, but she's already been torching Minnesota.

Diggins-Smith is playing really poorly so far. Missing shots, turning the ball over. Dangerfield also really struggling, so maybe they cancel each other out.

Dantas is playing out of her mind and matching DT.

I don’t see how that was a foul on Sims in the Peddy play. Incidental contact inside the restricted area.
Also, a phantom call on Collier. Hate to see bad officiating come into a playoff game.

Minnesota briefly grabbed the lead, but Phoenix went on a run again. Up 46-37 at the half.

I really think Minnesota outsmarted themselves bringing Fowles back.

Dantas has 13, Banham 9.

Taurasi has 16, Vaughn and Turner 8 each.
