Joey should be the posterboy for how the staff sells transfer portal kids on UConn. He leaves California where he's lived all his life to move to Connecticut and a major step up in the level of competition. He absolutely thrives in his role shooting 45% from three, wins a national championship, people all over are wearing his Joey California t-shirts and he has the greatest year of his life.
