Yeah, I have to say I never expected Phil to contribute more than a taken charge every few games. Happy to admit I was wrong. He has been a real contributor, and the stats don't really show it.

He's rebounding better, playing defense better, and even finishing better.

It's funny after the last game I had a thought that I'm surprised the coaching staff didn't tell Phil to just straight up take his jumper when he gets the ball wide open in his range, instead of taking it in to the hoop and losing it. I really think that before last night, his success rate on plays where he attempts a shot within 3' of the hoop had to be below 10%, so needless to say I was surprised and thrilled to see him actually finish a couple of plays, even through contact!

Our combined 4 centers played 40 minutes, scored 15 points, had 10 rebounds, 13 fouls, and 0 blocks.

This is the best collection of low post moves we've had in a while. Miller has a few moves and can finish in all kinds of awkward ways, but he's not alone. Phil has a move. Enoch has a move. Facey has not been great as of late, but he definitely can steal some minutes when Miller is in foul trouble. Brimah doesn't really have a move, but he can shoot from the foul line. They should probably try to get Brimah to the foul line and let him shoot on occasion...Anyways, collectively it's a pretty good offensive bunch. For us it is.
