I missed the memo. What shot and how??

“I just kept shooting and I knew — I think I said it a couple of weeks ago — that eventually they’re going to go in," Collier said. "I’ve been practicing a lot with it, and it is hard to change your shot, but it feels a lot better than it did before, and now they’re starting to go in.”

The form on her free throws looked a bit different today.

I've been saying since last year that her form was off at the foul line and from deep, and it was flummoxing. She really put a hitch and a lot of moving parts in those shots this year. Let's hope this is a sign she recognizes it and goes back to what helped make her unstoppable as a sophomore.

This season the senior has been working on fixing her shot, she said, after feeling like it wasn’t as smooth as it used to be. On Saturday, she said it felt more like her sophomore season shot, a season where she led UConn in scoring.

I don't know why it took her so long to see the difference. It's been different for more than a year. Better late than never I guess.

Collier was 10-for-15 from the floor and 8-for-10 at the foul line. She also made 2-for-4 from 3-point land. She entered the game just 4-for-22 from behind the arc. She has worked recently to try and get rid of a hitch that had developed with her jump shot and she was smooth as silk Saturday.
