On a day when the #13 team in the country loses to an FCS school, the #9 team in the country squeaks by Georgia State, and the #2 team in the country loses by 43 points, it's time for UConn Nation to get some perspective.

Pretty football? No. Dear God in heaven, no. But these kids fight! These kids do not quit! They could have very easily packed it up in the Maine game for an embarrassing loss, but they didn't. They could have very easily allowed the Navy game to run away as a blowout loss, but they didn't. And today, they could have very easily fallen apart after the second turnover, but they didn't. They stuck with it. They scratched. They clawed. And they gutted out a win against a Virginia team that may not be very good right now, but a team that from a "stars" standpoint should technically be every bit as talented as we are, if not more so.

We're coming back, folks. We're climbing the stairs (no escalators!). We're gonna get to where we all want to go.

I'm mean it's not the 15-0 season we were expecting, but 13-1 and a top 10 isn't too shabby either.

Prior to the season, I had two hopes:

1) A bowl. Any bowl.
2) Go 3-0 against the ACC.

So far, we're on target.

I'll add to that, I wanted to win 8 games. Well, six to go. Syracuse is a must win for that.

We beat an ACC team. More than BC has been able to achieve.

I'm hoping these games are a microcosm of the season. Slow start and very little offense at the beginning, offense looks like it starting to come together at the end of games. Except for the final drive yesterday I think the defense has also looked weak at the beginning of games and gotten stronger as the games have gone on. An optimist would say this team could easily be 3-0. A pessimist would say this team could easily be 0-3. Both would be correct.
