When I see the obits for people I grew up with or went to school with, it makes me glad my name isn't there yet.

It amazes me  when an ex-spouse, is not mentioned where the obit lists the death of a woman who is a mother and omits the name of the father of the children. The obit  mentions her children and grandchildren and their spouses if any,  but in many cases, not the name of the father of her own children. I guess they were divorced. If so, there must have been  bitter feelings there, but the surviving ex-spouse was still the father of the children so why not mention him? And, if he dies before her, why not state that?

Well, maybe the kids blamed him for the divorce or for abusing their mother. IDK.

Interesting to see a high school teacher who you had forgotten about, and then you see he or she lived to 100. The obits online now show celebrities who have passed away.
