I am rooting for Perfumerias Avenida, but it feels like David against Goliath.

And slingshots aren't allowed in FIBA games.

And that is not intended as a slight to a wonderful Perfumerias Avenida team that has had an absolutely incredible season led by Lou and Tiffany.

They have the Spanish league to finish up after this where they went 29-1 in the regular season and I predict they will win the championship there.

They also have a Stanford grad in the backcourt.

Tiffany Hayes was magnificent in the loss. I would at least think she should get consideration as the MOP in a losing effort. A true Warrior driving again and again into the teeth of the defense of Breanna Stewart, JJ and BG. Shame Katie Lou picked the wrong time to have a terrible shooting game 3-17.

UMMC doesn't really have the ability to stop a quick guard from getting to the rim. That certainly isn't Quigley's forte.

Hayes was able to drive at will and finished magnificently, which is not easy against Stewart, Griner, and Jones.

Avenida got Lou the shots they wanted but she didn't have it today

UMMC just has too many ways to win. And with Vandersloot running the show (12 ast today) they will eventually solve the riddle.

One or two of their superstars can have an off night and it's no problem because they have four more superstars to pick up the slack.

Stewart the Final Four MOP but it could have easily been Meesseman. And Quigley was the star of their semifinal win.
