I think some strategically placed bubble wrap ought to do the trick........It is not enough to say injuries are part of sports, but I don't know what would make it enough. I do know I'm bone tired of this run. How many times have we heard TV commentators say UConn practices make games a breeze? Maybe we could ratchet it down a notch and see what happens?
Alydar attended practice a couple of days later and she seemed fine then. Post 34 in this thread:I believe it was reported in an earlier post about observations from the opening practice that she hurt her shoulder then.
It’s apparent you’re never going to coach seriously anywhere. It is not enough to say injuries are part of sports, but I don't know what would make it enough. I do know I'm bone tired of this run. OOOW that really hurt. Unlike Geno, at 77 I have no intention of coaching in any sport or division thereof. Just thought I'd try to stir up a little discussion. Alas, I failed. It’s apparent you’re never going to coach seriously anywhere.
I’ll just chalk it up to “old man yells at cloud”.OOOW that really hurt. Unlike Geno, at 77 I have no intention of coaching in any sport or division thereof. Just thought I'd try to stir up a little discussion. Alas, I failed.

Finally time for the first practice of the season
We’ve seen some footage of the team going through plays with no opposition and some of them playing against the male practice players. Azzi was visible in one of the former shooting a corner 3. What we haven’t seen is any 5 on 5 against each other. I’m not sure how much of this they will be...the-boneyard.com
Thank you for clarifying. It's a shoulder and it happened in practice No 3 which was 2 Saturday's ago. At the clinic we were asked to refrain from posting what we saw on social media but a day or 2 later another fan who attended reported the injury in a thread here. Since I had no idea about how serious it was I figured I'd save the nervous nellies some palpitations. It's been 10 days and she hasn't changed from the sling she wore the next day so it looks like it's being treated with rest and likely some PT.
All teams have players injured. And the past is not a reliable predictor of the present or future.
Well why do people say those who do not learn from the past are bound to repeat it? Your admonition sounds like a brokers warning on a stock purchase. It's a shoulder and it happened in practice No 3 which was 2 Saturday's ago. ACL tears are absolutely chronic in girls and women’s sports; well, guess I should say “some sports”. Does not seem to be a lot of them in swimming! But basketball, yes.Exactly. There are no guarantees. I enjoy wagering on races. There are no sure things. I just read an article about how ACL's are a chronic issue in girls HS sports today.
True, it could be worse. It's a shoulder and it happened in practice No 3 which was 2 Saturday's ago. The guess on girls and ACLs has been around for quite a while and it has to do with the female pelvis and the angulation of the femur that results and the strain imposed on the knee ligaments. But that does not suggest we ignore other contributing factors and just say, with a shrug, that is inevitable. Muscle and tendon loading and recovery are real. Everything may be just the luck of the draw or what happened in 9 year old soccer, but just maybe it isn't. This Geno and company can do no wrong mythos is just that, pure fable. What they are are the best, not perfect.Exactly. There are no guarantees. I enjoy wagering on races. There are no sure things. Maybe roller derby outfits?I think some strategically placed bubble wrap ought to do the trick........
