I thought the Patricia hire was one of the worst hires I've seen and so typical of the Lions. When I saw that he hired Pasqualoni as his defensive coordinator I thought it was a joke before realizing Patricia was the worst hire I've ever seen at this level.

Probably a flaw of mine but I wouldn’t have interviewed him based on his appearance.

I said from the beginning that I just don’t see Patricia as a leader of NFL players

I dont know that one game where Stafford is throwing picks all over the place is indicative of Patricia as a coach.

I was just talking to a Pats fan about the same thing earlier this week. We literally talked about how his appearance speaks poorly to his ability to be organized and a leader.

I think he's smart enough to succeed. But if I were hiring him to coach my NFL team, I'd be concerned by the fact that he's only ever been exposed to one system. 43 is young as it is without factoring in the sheltered nature of his career. Dude basically went from an offensive grad assistant at Syracuse to the Patriots to head coach of the Lions, this without any notable playing career.

Plus, I think he's just too chill a guy to assert his will on an NFL locker-room.

They said PP gave Patricia his start. PP will probably what brings him down if Patricia doesn't fire him first.

Really don't understand these age 70+ retreads

Looks like we have a perfect record of retreaded DC's, what with PP and BD!

Patricia has already lost his vets because he is trying to go Belichick on them.

Seeing PP on the sideline next to Patricia is hilarious.

Bill Parcells' coaching tree flourished, Belichick's tree, not so much.

Not all that surprising that Belichick/Kraft didn't fight Patricia leaving but fought tooth-and-nail to keep McDaniels. Brian Flores already has this D playing well.

I honestly didn’t hate the hire. Patricia is a defensive minded coach so he most likely handles a lot of the defensive adjustments. PP is prob just a fall guy when his team gives up 40 points to the jets rookie QB

If we’re going to judge coaching abilities based on dress, then Bob Diaco should still be here

Appearance hasn’t seemed to affect Andy Reid. Or Bill Parcells for that matter. And as for college, Ralph Friedgen was probably bigger than any of them, and he certainly had a better record at Maryland than Randy Edsall did.

I don’t think weight is the issue. This is more about looking like a wild animal.
