So after two rounds of the tournament three host schools (1-4 seeds) out of fifteen failed to win two games on their home court. That 20% strikes me as historically high, indicating more parity. Is it just me or does it really seem that way?
 
I agree - I think the close games even with the better teams prevailing point to a much more even playing field - the top four seed lines are not as distant from the rest of the field as they used to be.
 
You're right I hadn't thought of near upsets and things like that. I just looked st actual upsets but when you look at all the near upsets the point is even stronger. Thanks for pointing that out folks!
