At the half, Kentucky leads 44-28.

Kentucky's full court pressure has caused 13 USF turnovers. And Kentucky is shooting 6-8 on three-pointers.

USF is really missing Laksa in this game. Freshman Sydni Harvey has 16 points but not much else is going their way.

USF goes down big to Kentucky, 85-63.

Kentucky is much improved over last year. I think they'll surprise some folks this year.

USF was exposed in certain areas, most specifically ball handling and composure against defensive pressure. They have some adjustment pains to go through, losing Laksa and having to rely heavily on two freshman starters.

Holy Cow, UCLA is getting throttled by UNC 83-45 with a minute left. The Tarheels lost to Pac's Colorado so who knows what to think of this. Between this loss and the poor performance at LMU, UCLA looks to have a long, long season. It's conceivable that they could go 0-3 in this tourney. But again, Coach Close is a lot like former UCLA coaches like Steve Lavin in that they'll lose all sorts of games they should have won only to pull out a huge upset against a top ranked opponent like Georgia.

Now that UCLA no longer has superior talent, they are going back to their usual inconsistent and underachieving selves again.

Surprised no mention of TN-Clemson. Apparently, tied 54-54 after 3Q before TN notches it up in 4Q for 78-66 win.

Even with talent, they were inconsistent and underachieving. No Pac tournament titles, No Pac conference title and highest was an E8 finish. Cori Close should have taken one of the other jobs that were allegedly offered her after last season. It's likely she will never reach those heights again, especially since her recruiting has fallen off.

Burke led them w/ 21, only player in double figures. Onyenwere only scored 2?! I swear I saw Horvat's name in the box score earlier but now she's not listed.

So Alabama beats Clemson by 20, but South Carolina and Tennessee both need fourth quarter surges to get the W. The SEC is interesting this year, because it seems like a whole bunch of teams are overrated. Georgia has not impressed. Mizzou has not impressed. South Carolina has not impressed. And now Tennessee not impressive. Opens the doors for teams like Alabama and Kentucky.

Sometimes the whole entire team will be listed in the box scores. It’s weird but I got super excited when I saw Aquino’s name in there a few games ago, but it had all 0’s next to it. Might have been that.

If they don't have superior talent, then maybe they're not underachieving.

Drummer was ranked #8, Onyenwere #10, Horvat #15, Burke #15, Smith #31, Corsaro #35, Owens #37 and Rosenblum #58. That looks pretty good on paper.

A lot of teams seem like they’re struggling this year. UCLA just took a worse hit than some of the others. SC, Duke, and Ohio State are also down this year.

Okay so they do or they don't have superior talent? Trying to get the story straight.

A couple years ago they crushed North Carolina in one of these Caribbean tournaments. I don't like their chances as much this time around.

UCLA loses in OT to Kentucky. Bad fundamentals at the end of regulation but Onyenwere is a real talent. 28, 12 for 18, 8 rebounds and fouled out.

She bounced back nicely from an off game yesterday. Just looking at box scores Burke has been consistently producing this year, but they need more than just those 2. UCLA was leading much of the game but obviously didn't hold on. Rough start for them.

Maybe UNC is better than they were expected to be this year.

(I know that will not be appreciated by our Duke fans on this board)

They’re almost certainly better than last year. They got back Stephanie Watts, who missed last year with injury. IIRC Watts was ACC Freshman of the Year two years ago.

Kentucky seems much improved this year. I like the true freshman Rhyne Howard a lot, she is going to be a very good player
