Paige Wins Another

Thank you. I seem unable to delete the thread. Maybe a moderator can make it go poof.

Failing that, some more content:

The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award is presented annually to the women's national player of the year by the USBWA. Named for the legendary UCLA guard, the award was first presented in the 1987-88 season and formally named in Meyers Drysdale's honor in the 2011-12 season. Ann Meyers Drysdale played at UCLA from 1974-78, which pre-dates the USBWA All-America selections. She was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 1999.

Oh Boy, everyone next year will be gunning for her. Thought they may find a way to distribute it a bit more.

Funny thing I hadn't realized ... there are now two Ann Meyers Drysdale awards each year!!!
Paige wins the NPOY version and
Owasu wins the HoopHall version for Shooting Guard according to MD website.
This is like Tara's Naismith award being announced prematurely by the Pac12 website - the official announcement hasn't been made for any of the other 4 HoopHall awards (PG, SF, PF, C)

Those position awards are overkill.
I liked the Lieberman as a stand alone - it was sort of the short passer award as opposed the the big scorer award that is often what the POY awards turn into.

It is why I also loved the Frances Pomeroy Naismith award the only award with a height limit - to bad they killed it 2014

Wooden reveal momentarily on SC with an interview following
If Bueckers wins the Wooden Award, it's going to make the Wade Trophy seem like a consolation prize for 'best non-freshman'
