How 'bout Mikan, Russell/Chamberlain, Abdul-Jabbar, Bird/Magic, Jordan, LeBron/Curry. That means Kobe, Shaq, my fav Oscar Robertson, West, Malone, Miller, Nowitzki, Olajuwon, Duncan, Stockton, Kidd, Cousy, Havlicek, Iverson, Baylor, Frazier, Bradley and Erving don't make the cut as generational players. You can certainly choose different players, but keeping the list of generational players to truly the best of their generation meets the definition, and avoids cheapening the use of the term.
