I agree with half of what ur saying but in college a scholarship is renewed yearly so it gives the coaches a lot of say as to who's coming back, the players tht don't bust their behinds in games or practice are told tht the school's choosing to move on, have their PT cut( ride the bench)or be  recruited over ,and  
 end up entering the portal.  In the W the coach has less say and answers to a owner and a GM. A player can come to practice hungover from the night b4, go thru practice at half speed and later tht evening put up 18 pts and 10 rebounds and the owner and GM are happy  the coach can either get on board, kick rocks or resign. Geno, Dawn, Kim and  others im sure  have tht GM power and probably have close to AD power. So no I...imho don't think they have the same standards. 
UConn has very  high standards, we talk abt who will replace Geno but we never think abt the question tht will  be just as hard to answer.........Who's Gonna replace  CD?
