Pac-12 opening day

The Pac-12 schedule is starting off with a "geographic rival" day:

Utah already won at Colorado, 76-61, to stay undefeated on the season.

Egads, this might be the only winnable game left for UW and they might not get it done. I thought there's no way they could do worse than last year's 1-17 league mark, but dropping a home game to Wazzu is just not acceptable. I just got home and turned the game on. WSU was up 9 but UW has it down to 4. 4 1/2 minutes left. Hristova is going off.

Bobbi Buckets just hit a 3 to set her career high, 37 points. Moser answered right back. Exciting game maybe battling for the Pac 12 cellar!

Harvard up by 1 with 24 seconds left;

Harvard calmly canned 2 FT and is 3 up with 22 seconds left. This loss at home would hurt.

Harvard is trying to put away Cal. Up by 1 with 22 seconds to play, Cal is forced to foul, Harvard shooting FTs.

Benzan calmly sinks them both to put Harvard up by 3. Cal calls TO.

UW cut it to 2, then Molina hit a 3. Another bucket for UW, then got a turnover with a chance to tie or pull within 1, but no go. WSU possession, up 3, 2:37 left.

Anigwe has had a bad game. Only 12 points, and the worst part is 6 of 14 from the FT line.

Most teams have split up their rivalry game this year, but Oregon-OSU are playing each other back to back again. I know Rueck hates that. So stupid. The league does that, not the teams.

UW had it down to 1 again, another 3 from a Molina. I don't even know which one it was, there are 3 of them. Then UW didn't score on the other end. 76-72 WSU w/ possession, 39 seconds left.

They've had close calls over weak teams. Barely beat Houston by 1. Barely beat St. Mary's by 3. Their luck finally ran out.

Harvard was 10-12 from the line. Cal was 10-22. Ouch.

Hristova hits 1 of 2 FTs. UW timeout, will advance to halfcourt, 9.6 seconds to go for a 3 to tie the game. Whoever wins, both teams are gonna get killed when they visit the Willamette Valley early in January to play UO and OSU.

Terrible inbound, Melgoza trapped in the corner, dribbles a bit and hucks a TERRIBLE prayer shot that doesn't get remotely close. Freaking Huskies might go 0-18 this year. How did a certain team whose mascot is a blue tinted devil lose to UW?

I know neither of those teams is very good, but it was an exciting game and it seemed like they had a pretty good turnout.

I really want Wynn to turn it around. Glad some fans showed up. I'm just losing hope already. It's only year 2 but I'm not seeing progress. Last year they seemed grittier and more apt to play over their head. This year they have slightly improved talent but just can't shoot. Hard to win a game when you can't make the ball go in the basket.
