Pac-12 hires MGM's Kliavkoff as commissioner

George Kliavkoff, the president of entertainment and sports for MGM Resorts International, has been hired as the next commissioner of the Pac-12, the conference announced.

I listened to the press conference and was not impressed. Cheryl from Hoopfeed asked him about WBB and Stanford's title and he replied that his focus was football and men's basketball. He repeatedly made the point that those were his concerns.
Scott was often attacked for caring too much about "Olympic sports," so this dude is making it clear that he will be all about the men to placate men like Jon Wilner and John Canzano. I was encouraged when I saw he had ties to the Aces, then I listened to him and it was so disappointing.

Pac-12 is already doing damage control on Twitter by posting a small bit where he says he supports women's sports. I laughed.
