UVA to the Big East is an insane thought

They might not have a choice. Some on This board has a really weird perception of UVAs value to the tv networks. Why would espn/fox care that it’s an AAU flagship public university? They suck at football, always have, and have a meh brand in a meh market. They’re ranked 12/17 for a reason. But “academics” right?? GT and Duke are definitely more valuable programs.

i still believe that college football is more valuable than the sum of its parts.
ripping conferences apart for individual teams who besides big brand power, have no relationship to eachother, has a chance to backfire on the powers deciding this, I believe.

Georgia Tech and UVA may not be the biggest brands per se, but the ACC is GT and UVA, vs FSU and UNC.

There is value in the tradition of conference opponents, even if they are not "rivals".
kinda hoping it all backfires, for uconn's sake.
