22. Literally "bald headed", but peeled tomatoes
24. Great Gatsby- I think it has to do with Romney feeling "hurt" by Obama's comments. There's a sense of entitlement by the rich.

Well first, and probably most disturbing, why would my name ever come up with your friends??? ;)

Just guessing. When you give us stuff like "In what state......" hey I got a 1 in 50 chance (or 1 in 57 while Obama's Prez).

Hmmm...don't know if I ever got so much verbiage over one wrong letter. I suspect it's verklempt.

16..VAUC gives it a good try and is correct about "reinforcement". P______ reinforcement

20.. These are three popular novels built around Navajo life with Jim
Chee and Joe Leaphorn. Author?

16. positive reinforcement ??

20. I just read one called Code Talker by Chester Nez. Is that one you had in mind?

16. Positive reinforcement might have been my first guess if not for the selectivity of the rewards. It makes sense though; Should have gone with it. I did not do the world of psychology majors proud flubbing that one. Skinner's ghost will be haunting me tonight:).

Too general, doesn't convey the sense of "sometimes".

Ruling Chester out. Still need this. first name Tony.

Continuing with the Wild Ass Guesses, periodic reinforcement?

My wife reads a lot of Tony Hillerman...I think he writes about the Navajo nation, doesn't he?

Due to some combo of resticted band width, my server and/or my computer, I am having trouble keeping multiple lines open. With the rarity of 3 pages here, I'll do a piecemeal one-page-at-a-time review, instead of flipping among all 3.

Sarals OK with Rafael Nadal, who has knee problems.
Also good(as are others) with whooping cough.

Meyers has the Hole in the Wall gang.

Pinot puts the road in the Yukon & Alaska.
And only Pinot completes the quote.

Rbny and several identify the quote as from F Scott Fizgerald.

Frank is alone in putting the mountains in Utah.

K9 is 1st with peeled tomatoes.

Arne asks us to think about Romney as the very rich.

Meyers thinks my silly remark deserves exposition. Well, it gives practice with the keyboard.

Geordi shoots 4-5(he is yet to peel his fruit), then newly adds Pearls Before Swine.

New here is VTC identifying the Syrian Defense Minister.

Special awared to Chap for mastering Yiddish.

And geordi, strictly abiding by our honor code, does not ask his wife (which is allowed), but remembers she reads Tony Hillerman. Good enough.

E-coli satisfies, VAUC.

In psychology it is long known that PARTIAL reinforcement is more effective in keeping a behavior going (after withdrawl of reward) than is a total reinforcement schedule. If it is any consolation to VAUC, I just checked and B F Skinner is not rolling in his crypt.
"Periodic" Reinforcement satisfies the logic, but is not used by the head shrinkers.

You missed Truman, Till the End of Time & Partial Reinforcement. Still gives you a B+

Maybe so, but periodic reinforcement is used often by parents.
