Here is the criterion
To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.

One less than positive observation 
about this list for me is the absence of Amari who many on the team seem to think may have the sharpest mind for learning / retaining facts and it is just this skill that should have helped in her course work. This seems to be consistent with the observation that her on court performance should have been better based on her innate talent.
Maybe this will help in her soul searching to give everything she has on and off the court.

Contemplating this some more, I think Dorka is in the same category (with Bear fighting) while Azzi is just too sweet to give a bad grade to.
