Our final drive, clock running?

Twice on our final drive we had a ball carrier run out of bounds and the clock kept running. I remember Noel Thomas was one of them. Anyone know what was up? They also seemed to start the clock very quickly after first downs.

In college clock doesn't stop on out of bounds play until under 2 minutes.

If we scored like we should have on the last play you would have welcomed that Clock operation as it would give Navy the ball back with 10 seconds to go.

new rules last year, clock starts as soon as the ball is set out after first downs.
