so will they offer Jordan Bell now? it seems like the only other PF we're in the running with is Facey.

I'm pretty sure UConn has offered more.

I'm pretty sure UConn has offered more.

No they have offered more than 1 PF, I'm basing it off of interest. Going by Duffy's roundup of PF's that the program is high on, they've offered Facey, Akoy Agau, Lee, and Jermaine Lawrence. Lee has cut us, Agau has named Georgetown as his favorite and it appears UConn has backed off in their recruitment, and Lawrence has a top 3 of Rutgers, Cuse, and Florida. The other PF mentioned of interest is Tosin Mehiniti and he has no offer. It just seems like they're putting alot in the Facey basket but now he's blowing up and has alot of schools after him.

We have guards (yes some will leave), but 2012could team is going to get crushed in the paint. We need a good pf and or c in the 2013paint class...

Let me rephrase genius, I'm pretty sure UConn is "in the running" with more than one.

You can expect recruits to keep cutting us, our coach who is constantly sick/hurt won't announce his intentions on whether he will coach or not. 2013 needs to be a big recruiting class and I simply don't see it happening. JC is my favorite coach ever in any sport but it's simply time to call it a career, when you aren't capable of coaching a full season anymore and other coaches have all the ammunition in the world to recruit against you, it's time to call it a career, he has nothing left to accomplish.

I think there are people here who seriously think we're not going to sign anybody in the 2013 class. Facing a postseason ban, and with all the exact same questions about Calhoun, the staff was still able to convince two top-100 kids (and another German of course) to commit to Uconn LAST year.

Take a deep breath everyone. We're already on the short list of a whole bunch of guys. One way or another, we're going to sign 4-5 kids for 2013.

Not sure if it's as much as signing anybody in the 2013 class but signing anybody worth mentioning in the 2013 class, perhaps?

I'm sure we'll be OK but it seems as if we are losing ground with some of the top prospects from the 2013 class ... The scholarships are there but I think it is the uncertainty with the future of UConn that may be causing recruits to steer the other way and it is a bigger issue than we may think. But hey, *takes deep breath*

Same stuff was said before they signed Napier and Lamb. Kemba was a consolation for losing out on the good guards.

Shabazz Napier (a four * recruit) was ranked high among 2011 prospects before he reclassified to 2010. & it's not every year a Jeremy Lamb (another four * but under the radar recruit) comes around ..

Kemba Walker was the #2 PG in 2008, the guys we are chasing are not even on the radar. A lot of 2 and 3 *'s
