First off, thanks to Waquoit & his lady for joining our tailgate. My son (UCONN-B.A., UCONN-Law School Grad) & my nephew (UCONN-B.A.) showed up & needed ducats. Waquoit had extras which he graciously shared.
Got to the Stadium at 6 P.M. which called for a hasty tailgate. (see Tailgate Menu thread). Had to repack the vehicles before entering the RENT & couldn't help notice droves of cars & buses laden with school kids exiting the parking lots.-an ominous sign.
Got into the stadium with the score 14-7 in UConn's favor & the joint was bustling. Crowd was enthusiastic.
Noticed that many Memphis fans made the trip. They got their money's worth in spades.
There are plenty of threads ongoing about what we witnessed, so I won't comment here.
Either, the silly wristband policy has been suspended, OR the attendants at the kiosks finally realized that if men with gray hair pull up to order a brew, they are legal drinking age.
Finally, after enduring the entire 60 minutes of the no-contest, the ushers at Gate C said to every person exiting "Thank's for staying for the entire game."
