Not a bowl game, but the FCS semifinals this weekend:

7 PM EST on ESPN2: #7 Incarnate Word @ #3 North Dakota State
4 PM EST on ESPN2: #4 Montana State @ #1 South Dakota State

My NDSU obsessed/alum in-laws just informed me half of NDSUs starters are injured including my favorite player: 6'1 236 Peyton Hillis clone Hunter Luepke (6.3 yards/carry and 9 TDs).

I got my green and gold on tonight!

Say what you want about sweating a bowl invite as a 6-6 Independent, but the AAC tie-ins are awful. Cincinnati went from a National Semi-finalist for the National Championship to 9-3 and playing on the 2nd day of bowl season in a 110 year old Boston baseball park.

Looks like nobody is at Fenway. To bad we couldn't have gotten that one. Just saw a different view and looks like better showing than I expected.

So we really want to be a P-5 school? Thank you for clearing that up.

The Louisville win is a tribute to the players who willed it to happen...

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – This could have been a Fenway Fiasco. It had all the earmarks of a game nobody cared about. All but three regular assistant coaches had left the staff. Head coach Scott Satterfield defected – for the opposing program. There were transfer portal defections among Louisville’s players, and others decided not to play, especially quarterback Malik Cunningham, running back Tiyon Evans and cornerback Kei’Trel Clark.

But there were people who still cared about this game. They were the guys wearing Louisville uniforms, and the coaches who stayed, and quality assistant coaches and graduate assistants who stepped into new roles, and acting head coach Deion Branch. And those guys were as impressive as Louisville has been all season, pounding their way to a 24-7 victory, keeping the Keg of Nails trophy in Louisville.

Does anyone know what the attendance was at Fenway? UConn vs. Buffalo or UConn vs. Cinci. may have been interesting

Wonderr if "Coach Prime" is 2nd guessing himself about only kicking the extra point at the end of regulation to go to OT,,Where Jackson State lost. Had he gone for 2, JSU Would have won if the attempt was made. Out of character for Deion.

CBS NEWS BOSTON REPORTED: "The school bands tried to make up for a sparse crowd – more like Red Sox-Royals in July than a Yankees game in the thick of a pennant race. The center field bleachers and left field grandstand were completely empty, with fans mostly clustered behind the dugouts and low in the right field bleachers; the red seat that marks Ted Williams' longest home run stood out among the empty green rows."

UConn plays at Rice next year. They have a quality freshman QB. The only 5-7 team to get a bowl. Both kids go to Rice now. Some think they are still going to fire their coach

Minnesota up 28-13 against Syracuse in Q4. Playing in the Bronx.

I was watching while at the gym — maybe I’m delusional, but I feel like we could be at the level of these two teams with HCJM and some solid years of coaching and recruiting.

Oof. What a horrible penalty to commit on fourth down with 50 seconds left for Syracuse. No discipline.

What a game Pitt vs UCLA was. Best bowl game this year so far.

Watch the replay if you missed it.

Pitt is probably 11-2 if Patti starts over Slovis all year.

A bowl game in Orlando with those 2 schools playing needs a better name than Cheez-It Bowl.
