Other Big East Teams in NCAA Tournament

In the Dayton Depaul Playin game, hard to tell strengths based on seedings so
here is Massey. Close game predicted but Depaul should win. Game is Wed March 16 9PM on ESPNU.

Hope DePaul brings some defense.

Of the other 3, if the "real DePaul" shows up, they could make a nice run to the Sweet 16. Morrow should have a field day inside. Next up would be Iowa State and the Joens sisters/Lexi Donarski group. Again, a good matchup for DePaul. They win that, they could contend with Caitlin Clark/Monika Czinano and that would be an awesome matchup of two dominant inside players and "bombers" from way outside.

Creighton has Colorado who is a good squad. Then an Iowa squad. Not looking good for the BlueJays. Villanova has BYU and then a Michigan squad if it were to find a way to win against the Cougars.

DePaul has the best chance in my view. I will be rooting for all 3 with lots of passion but...

DePaul needs to at least get past Dayton first. Not a given, since Dayton plays stylistically similar to some of the BE foes who have beaten DePaul this season. Morrow will put up ridiculous numbers, but she's done that in all their games, win or lose. DePaul needs their supporting cast to play well.

Colorado likes to press and force lots of steals, and I don't know if Creighton has the ball handlers to handle the pressure. Will be critical for them to not just break the press but score buckets on it, especially 3-pointers.

Nova is certainly capable of beating BYU on a neutral court. I expect a close game here.
