First I’ve seen us linked to him. Top 100 team final (Diggins, Floyd) kid. Averaged 15 and 7 last year for Rutgers prep. Transferred into Blair Academy this year to kind of be their JAR replacement. A lot of Jersey people swear this kid is going to be a pro. Raw athlete but interesting prospect.

We got Floyd, is this the Justice backup plan?

No. This kid is more 3/4 than 1/2. Very little overlap. He barely dribbled in that video--and it's a highlight..

Doubt it, we’ll see what scholarship availability is like at that point, could be a 4 man class

You think we'd bring in 3 guys around 6'4 in the same class? I'm guessing he was a backup for Floyd.

A 3/4 who is 6'4"? That sounds wrong.

I didn't look at his height--looked in the 6'7 range to me. And he isn't playing the 2 like Floyd in that video no matter how you slice it.

I think we've had enough of borderline 3-4 star Jersey guards.

Jersey guards are not the answer. No identity

Somebody have Hurley talk to Calhoun about where to find good lead guards, and how to recognize them.

idk he's listed as 6'3-6'4 and 170-180 lbs on every recruiting site. that's decent size for a PG but too small for a W so if he can't dribble probably not a good sign. not sure why/how he's ranked 25 spots higher than floyd

There must be something this video doesn't show. It's only a highlight after all. In it, he hits a bunch of 3s and makes some big plays underneath, but he also only dribbles once in the half-court more than twice and barely makes and out of control layup when he does. Maybe a growth spurt over the summer, or an impressive jump in skill level. Beats me.

He stands next to Trey Patterson here who is listed at 6'7-6'8. You be the judge haha

could he be eligible for a reclass? would be a good use of bouk's scholly. a lot of these ivy league recruits take an extra year of highschool so maybe he repeated as a frosh when he entered prep school or something. just spitballing

With scholarships and transfers opening opening up saving some for proven division 1 transfers seem more prudent than a 2022 reclass.
well sure but hurley has to explore all avenues. if none of the seniors return i'd like a transfer G and a grad transfer C. if either whaley or carlton come back use both schollys on guards/wings (maybe 1 transfer and 1 reclass)

Yea I really like this prospect. He’s an aggressive player, love how he crashes the glass. Definitely plays the 2/3, good shooter and can find a shot off the bounce. We’ll see what Hurley goes with for 2022 but all the options are good.
