OT: XL Sportsbook

Has anyone been to the XL Sportsbook on a non-UConn game day? Thinking of heading there for some of the college football games tomorrow afternoon, but want to make sure that it’s a decent spot to go to. It looks great in my opinion.

It's not a dump. They have plenty of screens and a zipper with all latest. Beers aren't cheap. Worth a look. imo.

Checked it out after game. It's very cramped. Not a ton of space to move around. Seems like a good place to watch some games but

On a game day its a disaster. Its designed horribly for a big crowd…but I could def see it being a good time once you get a table or something

Also it is a hockey Doubleheader tomm at XL with Dartmouth in and the Wolfpack at night. So prob gonna be a zoo

We went there after uconn game a couple Saturday’s ago. It wasnt too crowded. We cud move around pretty easily. They had all the college football and hoops games on. Lotta tvs. Awesome huge score ticker. Little bit of a weird set up but overall pretty cool.

I won’t go again on gameday. If we can’t bet UConn and it’s standing room only at least an hour before the game, I’d rather not spend $27 on 2 beers. I’ll be at another bar from now on. I would check it out on an NFL Sunday or during March Madness though.

It’s arena prices when there isn’t a game. I know because I went on an NFL Sunday during a wolf pack practice.

Btw, the concourse is, in fact, still a disaster there. Contrary to what you think. Absolute unsafe zoo yesterday.

It was worse after the first game when they put up those partitions. But I took care of that.

They MIGHT make it where you HAVE to have a ticket to the game to get in there.. I'd call and double check.

I really don't have any idea. But my gut feeling is it's going to be crazy downtown. Can't wait.
