I looked it up, incarnate means descent from heaven of a god, which must have happened for them to win that game. As far as word goes, your guess is as good as mine, but it's the strangest religious school name I ever heard.

It comes from the Bible (John 1: 14-18). It means that is God's Word become Man, or flesh, or "incarnate," as it were. Those who grew up in the church probably recognize various forms of "And the Word became flesh" or "the Word Incarnate" as among those recited in church.

Funny that pre-season coach ranking had Nebraska guy ahead of Ollie.
