You win. Feel better now? Is your day now complete so that you can move on from your great victory? Im glad i was able to make your life a little more meaningful since this was so important to you.

31 years for domestic violence, false imprisonment and vehicle theft charges. To think guys today commit domestic violence, get no jail time and a 2 to 4 game suspension as we've seen in the NFL. Boy have times changed.

You need to read a bit more on his criminal past. CNN was kind in their description. Great talent but troubled dude.

Yup, he was about to be tried for murder of his cellmate. He was about as crooked as they come.

Before my time, so not totally familiar with the whole background. I will check it out. If he truly did murder his cell mate and being guilty of other crimes, troubled dude would surely be a fitting description.

A friend of mine played with him at Nebraska and Phillips wasn't the "prototypical" Osborne recruit and wasn't really fit for the program that's become super clear based on some stories I've heard.

What's sad is how these lowlifes are programmed for failure even when given the opportunity to succeed and systems that support and guide them. Aaron Hernandez is the poster child of self induced destruction despite being given respect, notoriety and money. They are just destined to implode.

This was one of the least surprising headlines of the year.

Osborne had a soft spot in his heart for the kid. When you have been around as long as Osborne you earn the right to try and 'save' a kid. Of course the players better be Heisman quality good to be saved. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.

Definitely not an RKG

"System that support and guide them"?

Are you serious? These big programs take kids that have never had any real structure or anything of material value in their entire life, they pump their heads up, give them a bunch of free stuff, hold them accountable for nothing outside of their performance on the field and once they are all used up they get rid of them unless the kid leaves early and receives millions of dollars. You're expecting a 17 or 18 year old kid that has grown up like these kids to walk into these environments after being told they are the greatest athlete to ever set foot onto a field to all of sudden wake up and say "hey I need to focus on my studies"?

They are given an opportunity to succeed on the football field and that is it. There are no guidance systems in place at most of these schools.
