Joel Embiid is considered the front runner for rookie of the year despite only playing 31 games and he was actually drafted in 2014. Only three other rookies are averaging at least 10 points a game, one, Dario Saric was also drafted in 2014. It seems to me like most of the 2016 draft is warming benches.

Ben Simmons didn't play this year. I think Ingram will be a dud and Jaylen Brown the much better player.

IMO i think Ingram, Brown and Simmons will be at the least very good players. Ingram and Brown obviously need to adjust to the league but they seems to have all the tools.

Jaylen Brown doesn't get a ton of minutes because the Celtics entire roster is guys 6'6-6'9 but he has been very consistent

This is perhaps the worst opening campaign for any rookie class. Brogdon has been the best, and he only looks like a solid rotation player.

That said, there are some bright spots. Simmons will be a stud. He is another "unicorn." Brown will be excellent. He has played light years better recently. Not sure his ceiling, but I easily envision him as a better Jae Crowder (bigger and more playmaking). Hield has gotten too much hate. An atrocious beginning has biased many a journalist. I think he will be a starting 2 for a long time. I also like J.Murray and the aforementioned Brogdon.

The class will wind up being good or bad depending on how the high upside, low floor guys turn out. The Ingrams, Makers, Benders and Chriss's. I am very high on one of them, but look forward to seeing the development of all 4.

13 was a disaster but gets a tad better each year as Giannis inches towards being a top 10 talent and Gobert, Adams, Porter and KCP all have been or are on track to being maxed out.

Definitely too early to tell. Interesting is many of the 2nd 1/2 of first round guys are either stashes or in D-league. Didn't compare to other years, but seems like a lot.

Top 10-12 either injured or on teams.

Who knows with C's for example. 2 stashed and then Brown. Brown has been better lately.
