To all veterans - thank you for your service and your sacrifice. It is greatly appreciated what you do and have done, to keep us safe and free.

Whenever I'm dining out and see a vet, I try to pick up his check. Rarely am I able to do so as someone else or the restaurant has beaten me to it.

Being of the Vietnam war era and seeing the terrible way those returning vets were treated, I am glad to see todays vets get the respect they so richly deserve. Thanks to all that have served our nation.

Our Veterans Day. Congressman Jim Himes presenting Mrs. Kibitzer with an American flag that had been flown over the US Capitol as a way ot congratulating her on recently becoming a US citizen. We then went into the Norwalk Concert Hall for a stirring program.

It is unnecessary for anyone to say "Thanks for your service" (though many do so, very graciously) to me -- I served for 20 years and I loved every minute of it.

I agree, except for the "loved every minute" of it part :).
