Well, the Sisters kept me up Tyler Phommachanh midnight, and though that's waaaay past my bedtime, I'm to charged to hit the sack yet.
In a prior interview, Serena indicated she's making progress but not there yet. Anyway 6-3, 6-4, victory to older Sis.

Venus edges Sevastova, back into Indian Wells quarterfinals

Some of the quarter finals are decided today, with ESPN2 assuming coverage.
Venus takes on Spanish veteran Carla Suarez Navarro. Venus is 5-3 vs. Carla, including winning the last 3 times they have met.
The official site announces their match as "not before 5:00", Pacific time.
Although it is not Wimbledon time yet, it is OK to anticipate it by eating strawberries and cream, as you watch Venus today.

Carla had trouble with Venus' power tonight, and went out with just 5 games.

Now I call your attention to Venus' foe in the semis, a 20 year old who just became the highest ranked Russian when she demolished Angel Kerber earlier. This phenom is the latest golden girl, knocking out Sloane and the Woz here also.
