OT: Venus on NBC in French opener now

thank you Sir... looks like she's going to lose the 1st set
 
great 2nd set... but in a battle for the 3rd
 
Venus earns the 2nd round. Her opponent, despite winning set one, did not score one point on her 2nd serve. Sounds rare.
 
Serena is on right now... Tennis Network. She's down 2-1 in the 1st set
 
up 5-1 in a 2nd set tiebreak, Serena loses... on to the 3rd set
 
saved a lot of match points but could get back on serve...
 
She dug way too deep a hole with that 0-5 start. Did a great job of putting pressure on Razzano (sp?) but couldn't pull out the break she needed. Major props to Razzano though, who played a hell of a match. This was Serena's first opening round loss in a major ever.
 
i'm not sure what happened to her, but up 5-1 in the 2nd set only to lose 7-6 in a tie breaker, then do go down 5-0 in the 3rd set, i guess she never really got her act together. lack of will? histrionics? talk about a meltdown of gargantuan proportions.
 
We were 10 and 0, quite shocked that it was Serena who lost in the first round.
