We switched to UVerse from Comcast well over a year ago. We basically like it, but it isn't perfect. Once in a while my internet connection speed slows down a little because they use phone lines for the connection, but even then it really isn't slow, maybe a 3-4 second delay as opposed to immediate. I like the TV service, although other providers are catching up to them in the ability to do multiple DVRs at the same time and then watch them on whatever TV you choose if you have more than one. The 400 package includes a lot of sports channels and a lot of premium channels. The On -Demand is a little bit more limited on free stuff compared to Comcast, but the difference is hardly noticeable. We do have their phone service, which is one reason we switched. We had ATT phone service anyway so their bundle was a little cheaper than Comcast. At one time we had Comcast digital phone service as part of their bundle and we had constant problems with it, so dropped that, making their service TV and internet service and ATT's separate phone service more expensive. When UVerse came out, we decided to do their whole bundle. We have have very good luck with their digital phone system.
All of these companies now have this tiered customer support system which is basically a scam. Their free techies supposedly "aren't trained" to handle more complicated technical issues and they refer you to these for pay outfits where you can pay by the job or get a discount with a monthly charge, cancelable at will. Uverse uses that system as does Comcast and I'm guessing Cox and the others.
