Two all time greats going at it.. unbelievable effort by Nadal to get back in the 3rd set when he looked overmatched. Damn these guys are resilient

They're both so much fun to watch. Federer has fallen off since Wimbeldon last year, so that really awesome group of three never quite developed into the group of four (with Murray) we all were hoping for.

I'm pulling for Djokovic.

Damn what happened in this match it looked like Djoko was probably goof to win thr 3rd set and now he's about to lose the match. It sounds pathetic but I can't stand Nadal based off of his look. He looks like a rat and the constant butt picking is incredibly annoying, great player though.

Vamos Rafa! Congrats to him on his 13th major! Just taking one more step towards solidifying himself as the greatest to ever play the game of tennis.

For some reason this is one sport I don't mind watching women play. Hopefully they'll never change to wearing pants.

He's the greatest to play clay. I think he'd have to diversify his other wins better for me to consider him the greatest ever.

He's impressive, and he's one of the greatest players ever, but he's got 8 French Opens, and only (only! ha! it's a great haul by itself) 5 in all others combined. Federer has 7 Wimbledons, but 10 all others. Federer is tied for the most ever Wimbledon, Australian, and US Open titles, he made the French Finals a number of times.

Ah, the age old (and misguided) belief that Rafa is just a clay court specialist. In my opinion he became one of the great all court players quite a while ago, but with his run in 2013 this debate should be put to rest for good. Here are some facts to ponder.

-Rafa is the only man to ever win 3 consecutive Grand Slams on 3 different surfaces.

-Rafa is only 1 of 2 men to ever have won multiple Grand Slams are all 3 surfaces (Wilander being the other). He accomplished that feat back in 2010. Don't think Roger has another French in him at this point, so he probably will not be joining that list.

-Rafa is only 1 of 3 men to ever complete the Canada-Cincinnati-US Open hard court triple in the same season (Rafter and Roddick being the others). Even Roger at the peak of his hard court prowess in the mid 2000s never accomplished that.

-Rafa's gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics came on a hard court. Roger couldn't get the job done on grass (his favorite surface) last year in London.

-Rafa is 20-1 in Davis Cup singles play, and while most of those matches have been on clay, he has had a few big wins on hard courts.

Not a bad resume for a "clay court specialist". ;)

And as a final thought, if Rafa can grab one more Australian Open (and he's looking like the early favorite for the next one coming up in January) then he'll complete a second career grand slam. Only 2 other men have done that (Emerson and Laver). Just something to chew on.
