As an aside, looks like Howland will get Miss St. into the dance, becoming only the 12th coach to lead 4 different programs to the NCAAs, and the only one with fewer than 500 career wins. Not going to get him into HoF, but it's a pretty elite club.

It didn’t cost them the game, Miss St was already going to the line with the game tied. It did take whatever pressure there was off of Miss St because they were able to intentionally miss the last FT.
