UConn is in the NCAA tournament and plays in the 4 team pod with overall national #1 Florida.
UConn beat Georgia Tech yesterday and plays Florida tonight. Double elimination....winner of the pod advances to the sweet 16. Frosh pitcher Tate pitched well....bullpen just barely hung on....won 7-6.
Best pitcher [Raymond?] goes tonight. Would be huge upset if they advance.
UConn has a nice program....especially given our norther clime. Best position player in the majors is George Springer...of Astros....athletic outfielder with power. The coach said the pitcher tonight is the best he has ever had. maybe Matt Barnes of the Sox is former #1?
