Looks like UConn is attempting to extend more outreach to the Fairfield County/New Haven area with brewery events.
Tonight is the 1st of 3 events, this one at Bar in New Haven. I only live a few blocks away so am thinking of attending. Is anyone else planning on going? Sounds like you get pizza, beer, brew tour, and Husky swag for $20.
Pick up your brew tour passport and travel with fellow Huskies to Southern Connecticut’s local breweries. Attend one or attend all for a chance to win Husky Pride swag and rights to brag! (more passport stamps = better chances to win!)
The current stop on our Brewery Tour is BAR.
While filling out your passport, sample BAR’s signature pizza paired with a Toasted Blonde, prepared by actually roasting 30lbs of special English malt right in the pizza ovens and adding it to the brew.
Cost: $20, includes brewery tour & talk with brewer, pizza, salad & 5oz beer samples!
Upcoming Brewery Tour Stops:
At Outer Light check out the Libation Propaganda Coffee Stout, dedicated to a different local cause every year (Surfrider CT)… it’s definitely propaganda worth spreading. At the 3rd stop, toast a Bright Ale to Conor, a fellow UCONN alum, and his “bright idea” of founding Half Full Brewery. Stay tuned for 4th stop details.
