I'm pretty sure I posted in one of the previous threads. During a protracted process, I bounced between LG, Vizio, and Samsung, because those were the 3 brands Costco had. I heartily endorse the Costco suggestion, because of the 90-day return policy, the automatically doubled one year warranty, the tech support telephone line (I never used), and Square Deal option to extend warranty to 5 years for the best price on that company's well-regarded offerings ($59.99 at my price point). Somebody posted a graphic that showed that my eyes would not be able to discern the difference between 1080 and 4k at my viewing distance, even if 4k programming were widely available and/or at no additional cost. I was fortunate that my space could accommodate no more than a 55 inch screen, and that my seating couldn't really be moved closer or further. By the viewing graphic, my sweet spot was a 55" 1080 TV. Nearly 2 years after purchasing the Samsung w/Smart apps that get supplemented by Chromecast, Blu-ray player, an antenna that provides PBS, ABC, sometimes NBC, and some independent channel, as well as a 37" soundboard w/subwoofer (on sale a Costco), I still regularly remark, "This TV looks great." If sounds fine too. Presently, when I walk into Costco, I immediately see 70" 4k SUHD TVs that look like real life and wow me. They cost 4-7 times what I paid, and when I go back home, I continue to really like what I have. The counsel I got here was unassailable. I am ever grateful that this community will be here was I face, for example, complex neurosurgery at some unspecified future date, or not.
