OT - Trophy Points

I know everyone is excited about all this basketball stuff, but I just seem to be fixated on this trophy point number of 590. At first I thought it was a glass ceiling issue but it seems both genders (I think there are only 2) top out at a maximum of 590 trophy points. Is it possible to acquire more points and if so, how exactly?

It's something the site software makes available that's never been activated.

In other words, it fits right in with everything else that goes on here.

Yes, but why 590? What is the significance of that number? Why not 512 or 700 or a nice round number like 1000?
