Tornadoes ripping through the Oklahoma City area, it's always amazing to see the destructive power of these weather events. Hope there isn't too much loss of life, entire towns are destroyed.

I was in Dallas last week when the two touched down 8 miles from my hotel. When those alarms start going off its some scary !! Spent an hour in my hallway while most of the hotel was evacuated to the ballroom. I got screwed by going to bed early bcuz they rolled the temp bar into the ballroom. They got to party while I was trapped on the 23 floor.....

Better to be in a hotel 1,800 miles from your family and all of worldly possessions as the F4 tornado is bearing down on you and the alarms are blaring, then taking cover in a closet with your family and pets and praying for your life. I have been in Dallas almost 20 years now and every storm gets closer and scarier.

I was in Arkansas on my way out west and the clouds darkened so black, the thunder so loud and the rain so heavy I was scared shittless. Being from the north I don't think I could handle the severe weather down south. I pray everything is okay in Oklahoma, but I know its not. Hell,Home Depot was flattened with shoppers inside.

When I went to bed last night it was a mile wide with 200 mph winds, Wait til tomorrow.

If there is anything that numerous combat engagements has taught me, it's that you have to believe there is a plan for all of us. When your time is up, it is up. You can go crazy "what if'ing" the scenario in an attempt to make sense out of it but its only time that can ease the pain and grief. In a situation like this you have to believe there is a plan for all of it, but its not for us to understand the reason behind it. In the end you need to have faith in whatever religion you believe in and turn something positive into a terrible event like this. All in all, it's nearly impossible to come to terms with the loss of life when children are involved. I hate to think of the grief those parents are having to face.

Oh because you know he couldn't have stopped them from dying, because that would have messed up his own plan. So what would have went wrong if that elementary school wasn't leveled? What capitulations would god have had to make if that 8 year old somehow survived getting blown up? How would the universe be worsened if the Sandy Hook gunman was stopped?

Prayer is worthless, and honestly if my kid was in that school when it went down, I would be pretty taken aback if people tried to come up to me and say that they'll pray for them, as if they have a private line to the master of the universe whom planned for my kid to be dead in the first place, and as if anything would come of their thinking. God (assuming one exists) watches millions of children die every year in terrible ways, yet their little attempt at telepathy is supposed to make it reconsider and make a single exception for my one child? This person thinks they have the power to bend the will and plan of almighty God?

I can't educate you because you are not open to it. I will pray that you come to terms with the hurt you have that is blocking your relationship with God. . Not open to your education? I went to Catholic schools my whole life and think organized religion is a huge crock of . Telling people you will pray for them is the height of arrogance.
