He's good enough to play, but unfortunately, no so good that it's worth the circus that follows him around.

He'll be fine without the NFL.

Tebow has to be one of the oddest phenomenons in football history. I actually feel bad for him. He really hasn't asked for the circus that surrounds him. He isn't Dennis Rodman.

I think he should go play QB in Canada...less hype and he can prove his value as a QB. Worked for Flutie.

He can fgure out once and for all if he can be a QB...or he can learn a new position up there. Either way, he needs to get out of the US media for a period of time.

Lol. If Tebow goes to Canada, his fans might follow him. He is some sort of profit to many people. WWTD.

The dilemma of signing him is that the amount of media, time and attention he gets isn't aligned with his role on the team.

Back up QB's (which is all he will ever be) or situational position players should be seen on Sundays and not seen or heard on Mon-Sat. And with Tebow, that's not possible.

Football is a team sport and everyone has roles. Call it jealousy or whatever you want, but players in the locker room whose media profile is completely out of whack with their on field performance splits locker rooms.

Totally different reasons but same rationale for the Vikings cutting their punter. No one cares what a punter's position is on social issues. Just shut up and punt. (Plus, he was soaking up a $1m+ in salary).

The thing with Tebow is that he wins. If he goes to a particular team and loses, the fascination will subside. Tebow is kind of like RE, he wins ugly, but he wins. I like winning ugly more than I like losing.

Given that the Jets suck, they should have just played him. Sanchez isn't the answer there. However, I still think Sanchez will be a good quarterback somewhere, someday-- just not with the Jets.

He's a good guy trying to do the right thing. For that, he is an oddity and a circus. He can play the game. The NFL is a multi-billion dollar entertainment business. The owner that figures out that Tebow means $$ and a loyal audience will reap the windfall. If I'm an owner with a pathetic club in the south/ midwest, he is the perfect grab for that demographic.

I've heard analysts say Canada is a bad choice for him due to the size of the field. They were suggesting the arena league.

I think his antics on the field are problematic. I've never seen a top QB lose his s--- like he did with the Broncos. He literally lost his mind at the end of the year. If it were another player, the media would go Ryan Leaf on him, that's how bad he was. I can't say it hasn't happened before, because I've seen Philip Rivers lose it in such a fashion, and he's still playing, but boy was it over the top. His praying celebration is typical and not anything to worry about, but I've seen him on the sidelines during crucial moments very far away from the rest of the team. That's fine too. But if I were the coach, I don't think that sends a great message to the rest of the team.

I'll make a bet that if he ends up on an NFL team and actually starts, that team will make the playoffs. Tebow = winner.

Tim Tebow is a winner no matter how you feel about him personally. He plays his heart out and just wants to win. He may not be a starter in this league but there is always a place for a player like Tebow on some NFL team

ESPN and Skip Bayless ended his career, and they don't care. Now, how can we go about ending Skips's career?

He would fill a few seats in Jacksonville. Look for him to end up there.

I don't think he signs there before the season. But if Gabbert falls on his face again, and they have a horrible record, and lagging attendance, it would be the smart move by the Jaguars from a business standpoint. Sign Tebow mid year, the roster isn't good enough to win with him, so they will still get a good draft pick. Win Win.

The pushing religion stuff at the end of games is annoying, but I don't really care. Tim Tebow is a great role model for athletes, not only because he gives back to the community, but because of his tireless work ethic.

With that said, Tebow is not a very good nfl qb. His running is an assett, but you need to be able to keep defenses honest with your passing ability. And he struggles mightily in that area. I feel bad for him because he is not a bad # 3 to have on a team, but because of the circus surrounding him, teams are reluctant to sign him.

I really don't see him doing anything in the NFL unless he wants to switch positions. His potential and the amount of work they'd need to do to get him there is just not worth the kind of circus he brings with him. Any team taking him on as a QB would essentially have to tear him down completely and start on the mechanics from the ground up. More importantly, he would need to go to a place with an established QB to minimize the fans and media causing distractions by calling for him to start. Even if that happens, I don't ever see him as more than a backup in the NFL and all of this just makes it not worth it for a team. He's very outspoken and that's fine, but he has chosen to make that tradeoff and accept all the baggage that comes with that and a subpar skillset.

He's very outspoken ... and that's not fine if you want to maintain team chemistry and cohesion in an NFL locker room. When Donald Brown got drafted Peyton called him and told him to be at the team's facilities monday morning and be ready to work ... and we didn't have to read about it in a tabloid.

Tebow has been working with Vinny Testaverde and Chris Weinke in Florida for a few months. Vinny claims that Tim's problem with throwing the ball was footwork and foot positioning and not his arm motion--more his body motion. He claims Tebow is now throwing laser beams and is an NFL QB.
