I know they have their own sub-forum but I feel compelled to give a shutout to UConn baseball with a wider audience. After a 10-0 mercy rule win over UCF they are 17-9 and 4-2 in a tough AAC. They continue to be the top northeast baseball program despite abysmal facilities. Next year they open a new dramaticly improved stadium and should continue to dominate. This weekend they take on Cincy at Dunkin Donuts Park so go check out a UConn team you can feel good about!

Totally agree with posts above. We have a very good baseball team which we should all rally around. They are 17 -9 while playing one of the toughest schedules in college baseball. Also first 21 games where away from home. Coach Jim Pender is doing an unbelievable job with a Northeast team with below average facilities.

Check them out this weekend in Hartford, and visit the Baseball discussions on The Boneyard forum. You will enjoy it. We have some very knowledgeable and dedicated UConn baseball fans .

Go Huskies

Oddly enough, the AAC's baseball probably is its most respected sport.
There's a bunch of good teams in this conference.
Glad UConn will finally get a proper baseball stadium for the program and its players.

In addition to good coaching, we have the deepest pitching staff we have ever had at UConn. When you realize that the guy considered our best pitcher, pre-season All-American (Mason Feole) is just now starting to round into form after straining his shoulder in January... and we are 17-9 after winning 2 in-conference road series, only playing 2 games at home so far? Our pitchers just gave up a total of 3 runs in a 3 game series, and they continue to get better and better. We have found a 3rd starter (Wang), and our bullpen has been lockdown for weeks, other than the Virginia game.

The pitching is key once the CWS gets started - that is our best chance to go toe-to-toe with the top teams in the country. And we have it, in spades. Don't sleep on these guys. A break here or there, and we could make this a very special year, indeed.

Barring any disastrous injuries, this could be the most dangerous UConn baseball team in a while
UConn baseball is a great tradition
The pitching corps this year is sick

This team is good. I know there are a ton of MLB fans on the board; this year's team has multiple future MLBers on the roster in my opinion

I'm convinced that Penders is going to get to Omaha one day, and it's just going to be a ton of fun.

Well look @ this (... and it’s not a cruel April Fool’s joke):

NCAA/D1Baseball.com Top 25 Poll (4/1/19)

Coastal Carolina @ #19

Louisville @ #17
Coastal Carolina @ #25

>>Connecticut made big waves over opening weekend when it won a series against Louisville in Lakeland, Fla.. Since then, the Huskies have had some ups and downs, but they’ve caught fire of late. With a 4-1 week that included a series win over UCF, they’ve gone 10-3 in their last 13 games. After splitting two close games to begin the weekend with the Knights, they left no doubt with a blowout win in the finale. Six different UConn hitters had at least two hits, led by a 3-for-5 day with a home run from shortstop Anthony Prado and a three-hit day for left fielder John Toppa with two doubles. The Huskies have only played two home games this season, so they’re undoubtedly looking forward to a five-game homestand this week, culminating in a conference series against Cincinnati.<<
