Now there's no rule that says, if you participate in the silly song threads, you can't also do this.

20. to add to JRRRJ, Bernie Taupin is Elton John's long-time lyricist.
22. Oy. Took pics of a bound mistress, without her permission, and threatened her with exposure. Initially indicted, charges have been dropped for the time being, but, the rest of the Show-me GOP (couldn't resist) ain't happy - plus, there's allegations of mismanagement/misuse of campaign/charitable fundraising.

15. William Perry of Aiken, South Carolina.
16. Julia Louise Dreyfuss
22. he had an affair and there was some sort of accusation of sexual harrassment/sexual coercion or something.
23. Taming of the Shrew male lead. Need more info, go watch 10 things I hate about You...he's the Heath Ledger character.
25. Oh gosh. Right around the turn of the century. I'm guessing 1790s, but could be 18-oughts.
**After reading other posts realize I'm accidentally at least a century off. 1890s, would be my real guess. Sherlock had trains and gaslight and beginnings of modern forensics...and that's relevant to me because recently read a fictional book about Conan Doyle and Bram Stoker. They were contemporaries and acquaintances if the book is accurate.

19. I'm pretty sure he was player-manager for the Braves; I have no idea whom they were playing.

15.. William Perry a large than life character who played DT for the Chicago Bears in the late 80s and early 90s. He was also used as a RB on goal line plunges, a lot of mass (350-380 lbs.) to stop.

20.. Bernie Taupin, lyrist, is a longtime collaborator of Sir Elton John.

21.. Maintaining colonies of Apis is apiculture. The word refers to bees of the Apis genus. Although I suspect it is used with other bee genuses. Good chance this knowledge came from another Laurie R. King Mary Russell novel, “The Bee Keeper’s Apprentice.”

22.. Not much good! Kinky sex with mistress. Blackmailing her with pictures. Felony charges. For a Rhodes Scholar he does not appear to be all that bright … probably excessively arrogant.

23.. Petruchio is a male gold digger who marries Kate in Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew.”

14. El Condor Pasa - Simon & Garfunkel
15. William Perry(to this day, it bothers me that he was given a chance to score in the 86 Super Bowl and Walter Payton's number was not called in a 46-10 blowout)
20. Bernie Taupin is Elton John's long time collaborator
22. He no longer has a job
23. He was Romeo's older brother who was killed by Juliet's older brother
25. 1890's

15. William Perry of the Bears. Used as a goal line rusher, normally a defensive player.
19. Boston Braves, and I disagree with Big that he was a manager - that was his great regret that he never got the job, IIRC. Like Big, I don't know who they were playing.
20. Bernie; Elton John's lyricist. They were honored with a special award (Grammy?) and there was a concert that honored them. Elton wrapped it up, with "I'm Still Standing".
22. He resigned. Today. Due to the scandals everybody knows all about.
25. I'll guess 1890's like everyone else. If someone hadn't pointed out the Doyle connection, I would have said 1880's.

14..Welcome, Skitz, & S&G are pleased to be remembered, even if only piecemeal. There's no shame in having Big and VAUC
provide the end of your Dangling Conversation.

15..In his press conference he asked, "Wouldn't it make more sense to call me 'Mack Truck'? What kind of mobility does a
fridge have anyway? You media are really dim."

16..Game, Big and Rocket, illustrating that posters deliberately vary spelling to test your testmeister.
It's Julia Alice Trautman...no wait, that's my mother.

17..Post hint, Big accepts that he is in charge of alliteration.

18..JR ran out of typewriter ribbon, otherwise he would surely have written that she's a Supreme.
So what if I didn't ask him that?

19..Yes, he was with the pre-Milwaukee team, fighting Pirates.

20..Everybody else accepts that Elton left behind his birth name. But that's not good enough for Meyers. Remember when Meyers was in the broadcast booth with Floyd Patterson and they kept on calling Ali, "Clay"? No class.

21..Are you refusing to admit bees have culture?

22..Pinot starts a 5-some, all with some variation of his sins. A goner.

23..Game, Big, SVC keeping the Bard in our memory.

24..VAUC & Rocket doing that old soft shoe

25..If you denoted the 1890's, the trophy is yours.
