20. NFL game between, oh, the Raiders and the Jets(?). Close game, late in the 4th quarter, Jets mounting a comeback.. and, the network (CBS?) suddenly switches over to the Sunday night broadcast of "Heidi", as network obligations to show that overrode their obligation to show the end of the football game. Football fans missed the last-minute victory by the Jets, and their vociferous outcry let to subsequent games being broadcast in their entirety.

What is noteworthy is, she successfully made the transition from to mainstream acting, at least somewhat successfully. 20. As pinotbear says, the network cut to a scheduled 7 p.m. broadcast of Heidi while there were still a couple of minutes left in a Raiders-Jets game. I'm a Jets fan, and I'm still fuming. It's been four decades or so since this happened. You might notice that I don't give up grudges easily. The network was NBC, and the Jets lost when the Raiders scored two late touchdowns. Ugh!
