16. Migrant workers including many children trying to cross the border/storm the border and being repelled with various levels of violence.
25. Becoming a Queen's (or King's) counsel (QC or KC) in the legal profession - referring I believe to a change in the robe material to silk originally and a change in wig design as well.

14. Alfie (I think that's her father's name) asks Higgins for five pounds. But Higgins is so charmed by his honesty and straightforward use of the English language that he decides to give him ten. But Alfie says, no, ten pounds would only make him cautious and unhappy. Higgins is greatly amused and gives him the asked-for five.

Would it hurt you to include the artist for the benefit of the vast ignoramia:p?
Well, I'm familiar with two versions, one by Gordon Lightfoot, and one by Peter, Paul & Mary - but, I honestly can't recall who wrote it.

23. Beethoven's Fifth, I think. Interestingly, some years ago my wife and I heard an original organ transcription of the symphony by an organist named Felix Hell. I thought it quite good.

The Wedding March to which VAUC refers is the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin, an opera by Wagner. I don't believe the first 4 notes are particularly distinctive. Although not a true "organist" I played "organ" on the keyboard for my niece's wedding some years ago and offered to learn it. Thankfully she chose something else.

Now I noticed you contributed to the Folk Song thread, and a Joan Baez version there adds to all the renditions
you know. You are being swamped, but don't think twice, it's all right.

14..Rbny gives us the scoop on a scene from MY FAIR LADY.

15..VAUC places it in Egypt.

16.. Migrant workers and escapees from war try to breach a new wall. UcM has it.

17..Welcome MJL, who is giving us Stef.

18..JC is packing Heat, one a cop, one a criminal.

19..The Trail Blazers often appeared together in the 40's. See zorro.

21..Supposed to have positive effects in the boudoir. How so?

22..VAUC says it's not about shooting ospreys where they sit, but a Beijing stadium.

23..The key word is "cited", for it appears in print a lot in reference to the 5th Symphony, but I can't argue with
VAUC's choice. "Here Comes the Bride" is certainly 4 notes played daily and often. See Knight's detail.

24..VAUC takes a census and comes up with 83 million.

25..UcM is on top of British practices.

Now fix 21, 12 & 8 please.
