25. I don't know but at the San Diego Zoo we saw the last of a particular species of Rhino. I believe the population is down to 1 male and a couple females - not all in San Diego - of which the zoo's female is both elderly and suffers from skin issues. Interestingly, they are looking at some time in the future to use frozen sperm / eggs and possibly implant into another related species.

It's my understanding that the label "white" rhino has nothing to do with coloration or pigmentation at all: rather, it's a linguistic accident, based on mis-hearing the description of "wide" rhino, referring to the rhino with the "wide" mouth. The wide rhino became the white rhino, and that other rhino, the one with the narrower mouth? That became the "black" rhino.
