14. Victrola horn.

16.. Casey at the Bat

17..On 6/4/44 I would have said the Battle of the Coral Sea, but that was in 42, as was Midway.

20. The Leatherstocking Tales, by James Fenimore Cooper. One of the funniest essays I have ever read, mebbe THE funniest, is Mark Twain's "Fenimore Cooper's Literary Offenses". Check it out. Oh, and Natty Bumppo (a very strange name for a frontier hero) was Pathfinder, Deerslayer, Leatherstocking, Hawkeye and more I can't remember.

14 - Victrola horn with the slogan "His Master's Voice"
15. - Like VAUC says, everyone could name them, but it was a long time ago. Not sure it was Grissom, I'll offer Ed White?

14..Gus + 5 who still haven't upgraded to hifi.

15..Knight selects Ed White from a host of now obscure names

16..Gus & zorro in a 7th inning stretch.

17..My goof. the numbers on my page are "44", and I type "42", whose only significance being the year of my birth.
Thankfully ed4 corrects me.

18..The 70's gave us Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Affirmed. Fine steeds all, but the wrong answer.

19..What's missing is an "M" word AND the title of a Bob Dylan song.

20..Zorro has an impressive memory. Ine also provides James F. Cooper.

21..JohnnyC offers the Dylan tune.

22..Combine Venus de with a motorcycle rally in South Dakota.

23..Anthrax, sufferers include ine & VAUC.

24..The same posters give us Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island.

25..Ine sees his bathroom trips altered with Saw Palmetto.

Please attend to 18, 19, 22.

18. I looked up the answer, so this has to be left alone
19. I looked this up also and am convinced that one of my two answers are correct.
22. Even with the clue, I do not have one.
