Given all the bad grammar in songs, isn't it classy of Gladys to use the subjunctive?:)

18..Both rbny and geordi offer just plain "Wagner", but I wonder how the former mayor of NYC, doing the world's toughest job, found time for a major orchestral piece.

19..VAUC's got it--Kosovo.

20..Yes, very serious burning going on, as geordi, K9 & VAUC feel the heat.

21..K9 with a vital lesson in Ebonics.

The old Metropolitan Opera House on Broadway had the names of great composers inscribed on an arch over the stage. I went to the old Met only one time, just before it closed in the 1960s, and took a date for whom I really had the hots. I looked up and saw the name Wagner on the arch. Robert Wagner was NYC mayor at that time. I was trying to be cool and sophisticated, so I turned to my date and said, "Isn't it wonderful that they have the names of the mayors." Then I looked again and saw Verdi, Mozart, Beethoven etc. and felt very embarrassed. For some reason, that young lady would never go out with me again.

I don't have any cicadas - at least not yet. But once they start coming, there will be food enough for all the cats and dogs in the neighborhood. Pure Protein
